My Voice provides customized speech and language to children of all ages and abilities. Our goal is to help your child gain confidence in communication with others while simultaneously improving their abilities and overcoming deficits. We do this by creating a fun learning environment tailored to each individual’s particular needs.

What is the process?

First we will provide a comprehensive speech and language evaluation in order to assess current abilities and create a plan of care and goals to best help your child.

Next we will establish a plan of frequency to provide speech and language services that will work best for your child.

Where are services provided?

We can provide therapy services according to your preference and what works best for your child. Therapy sessions can be provided in a variety of sessions including home, daycare, preschool, or online.

How can I be involved as a parent?

We encourage involvement of family to help promote progress. As we collaborate together, our clinicians will provide you with strategies to help your child communicate and progress between therapy sessions.

Types of Pediatric Therapy Services Provided:

Articulation: These are problems with making sounds in syllables, or saying words incorrectly to the point that listeners can’t understand what’s being said.

Language: This includes both how one expresses themself as well as how well they understand information being presented. This is broken down into two categories as follows:

  • Receptive: This includes problems with understanding or processing language.
  • Expressive: This includes problems with putting words together, having a limited vocabulary, or being unable to use language in a socially appropriate way.

Fluency: These include problems such as stuttering, in which the flow of speech is interrupted by unusual stops, partial-word repetitions (“b-b-boy”), or prolonging sounds and syllables (sssssnake).

Feeding Therapy: This addresses disorders focused on the way someone eats or drinks. They include problems with chewing and swallowing, coughing, gagging, and refusing foods.
